2019 LIFEGUARD TRAINING REGISTRATION

Note: Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer is valid 2 years. All training/certification classes are for current and prospective employees of Commonwealth Aquatics. Payment is due on the first day of class and is non-refundable.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD TRAINING PREREQUISITES

Participants must be able to:

  • at least 15 years old on the final day of the class

  • able to swim 300 yards continuously, using the front crawl or breaststroke,

  • tread water for 2 minutes, using legs only

  • retrieve a 10lb weight from 7 feet of water, then swim 20 yards with the weight, using legs only.

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION

Participants must attend all scheduled class dates and times, demonstrate proficient land and water skills

as well as pass a written exam with a score of at least 80 percent.

 

WHAT TO BRING TO CLASS

  • Bathing suit, towel, sun block, pen or pencil, water/lunch/snacks

  • Registration form & waiver

  • Payment for class: Cash or check made payable to Commonwealth Aquatics.
